How to Turn Your iPhone, iPad & Macbook Screen Red (for Better Sleep)

We night-owl writers aren’t ready to ditch our screens before bed. So here’s how to quickly switch Apple devices into RED MODE.

It’s the best way to write on your laptop, into the wee hours, without wrecking your sleep.

Why Turn Your Screen Red?

The blue light from screens disrupts the circadian rhythm, making your brain think it’s daytime.

Red light, in the hours before bed, reminds your ancient brain of the fireside glow of ancestral night-time, so it triggers your brain chemistry to enter wind-down-mode before bed.

Try it. Just looking at the red screen makes me start to feel sleepy. 👌😎
